Jamal is a partner at Parameter Ventures and brings over 14 years of experience in product management and systems engineering. His areas of focus include mobile, developer tools, and cloud.

 

Alongside his role at Parameter Ventures, Jamal owns the Android developer tools portfolio as a director of product management at Google. There, he leads the product team responsible for setting the roadmap that helps developers build apps for billions of Android users. Earlier in his career, Jamal led developer tool products as a product manager at Intel, and focused on mobile and security start-ups as an investor at Intel Capital. Previously, he served as an officer in the US Army, leading a 100+ person team deploying and operating telecom systems utilizing satellites and distributed computing.

 

Jamal earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in information technology from the University of Marylandand, a BSc in computer science from the US Military Academy (West Point). Outside of the office, Jamal enjoys travel and building LEGO sets with his family.
